A Teacher's Perspective

Context clues! Context clues! What I love the most is the context clues!! This story is full of context clues, but literary and visual. The graphics throughout the book include photos to help identify what exactly Henry P. is talking about. There are a total of 20 languages used to replace words on each page (well, some are spoonerisms or simply reversed) and each one adds to his adventuresome tale. The endpapers are covered in a very 'tall' font that spells "BALONEY" with dots that make it look celestial. At the end, the author offers a translation for each word he uses. It's perfect for any teacher who is trying to help students learn how to use what's provided around the word in order to figure it out. I'd definitely recommend this to all ages.
